Pansy Hot Pad Free Crochet Pattern

Materials:
1-2 oz Red Heart yarn in Aran and Deft Blue and size J crochet hook.

Gauge: 3 hdc = 1”, 2 rows hdc = 1”
2 sc = 3\4”, 3 rows sc = 1”

Finished Size: 8” across

Please Note: Throughout you will use 2 strands of each color yarn.

With 2 strands Aran and J hook ch-2
Rnd 1: Ch-1, work 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (8 sts)
Rnd 2: 2 sc next 4 sts, join Blue, drop Aran, 2 sc last 4 sts, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (16 sts)
Rnd 3: (2 sc next st, sc next st) 4 times, pick up Aran, fasten off Blue, (2 sc next st, sc next st) 4 times, sl st top beg sc, fasten off. (24 sts)
