MATERIALS:
2-3 oz Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in Light Raspberry (0774) about 1 oz of Soft White (0316), size H crochet hook or hook to obtain gauge, stuffing (craft fiberfill), needle to take yarn, craft glue, small amount of Black felt and 86 pop tabs.
Gauge: 4 hdc = 1”, 3 rows hdc = 1-1\2”
Finished Size: 8” tall not including the ears.
PLEASE NOTE SPECIAL STITCHES: PTH = Pop Tab Hdc. To work one you make a normal hdc, but before finishing the stitch and while you have 3 lps on your hook, you slide a pop tab onto the hook, pull through, yo and finish the stitch. DPTH = Double Pop Tab Hdc. You make it just as you do a PTH except before you slid a new pop tab on your hook, you pick of the unworked opening from a pop tab in a previous row, then add the new pop tab and finish the stitch. FINPTH = Finish Pop Tab Hdc. This stitch is just like a DPTH in that you pick up the pop tab from a previous row, but inside of adding another pop tab you finish the stitch.
HEAD:
You will need 30 pop tabs for the head.
With Raspberry and H hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, (2 hdc, PTH) 4 times in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)
RND 2: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (18 sts)
