To begin with you will need a needle that will take your yarn. Thread the needle with the yarn and knot the end. In every example the line on the left is the finished line or the one you are trying to imitate.

Insert your needle from back to the front of you piece as in A. Go up two to three rows of crochet and insert needle at this point or point B.
At point B you have finished your first stitch in the line embroidery. From the back of the piece go up another two to three rows of crochet and insert the needle from the back to the front at C.
You now insert the needle just above your first black stitch (point D) to make a continuous line.
Here you have reinserted the needle (back to front) at the top of the line you are forming and continue in this manner until your line is made.
