How To Make A Double Treble Stitch
Basically crochet is making loops in different numbers on your hook and then working them off. Single crochet: 2 loops on hook; Half Double crochet; 3 loops on hook; Double crochet: 3 loops on the hook, Treble crochet: 4 loops on hook and then the Double Treble: 5 loops on hook. You then work the loops off the hook to get your stitch.
Holding the base chain with your thumb and second finger, loop the other end of the yarn over your index finger and over the hook often call yarn over or yo for a total of 4 loops on your hook
Insert your hook through one chain on the foundation chain
Yo
Pull loop through hook. You now will have 5 loops on your hook
