ROW 2-100: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  End rnd 100 fasten off.
-Make 2.
AROUND STRIP:
With Brown and H hook rep 1-80 of purse strap, end row 80 fastens off.
-Make 3.  With needle and yarn sew ea strip tog at short ends to form a loop.

SHORT STRIP:
With Brown and H hook rep row 1-20 of purse strap, end row 20 fastens off.
-Make a total of 6—3 for ea side.

PUTTING THE PURSE TOGETHER:
Slid the 3 around strip around the body of the purse, evenly spacing toward the middle of the purse.
On one side beg by weaving one end of one purse strap over and under the around strips, pin in place.  Rep with 3 of the short strips and the last purse strap.  Sew in place.  Rep on the other side.

LINING:
Cut the fabric into a 7” X 25-1\2” rectangle.  Sew short ends tog to form a loop.  Fold a 1\2” hem around top of lining (tube) and pin in place.  Put the lining (wrong side to wrong side or inside of purse) and pin just under the purse edge.  Sew in place.
Turn the purse inside out and pin the bottom of the lining to the bottom of the purse.  Using a basting st, stitch to hold in place.  Return purse to right side out.
Make a pattern of the bottom of the purse and cut one out of cardboard.  Cut some batting to fit with 1\2” all around cardboard.  Lay out the remaining material.  Lay batting then cardboard on wrong side of material.  Trim so about 1\2” of the material remains around the batting’s edge.  Pull edges over and glue in place using tape to hold until dry.
When bottom is dry, remove the tap and glue to the bottom of the purse, right side up.
