MATERIALS:
Size 10 crochet thread in Black, Pumpkin and White, 7 crochet hook or hook needed to obtain gauge, needle to take crochet thread, two 18” chenille stems, one 1\2” wooden doll head, two 1-1\2” wooden wheels, of 1\4” wide wooden dowel, 12” of 1\4” wide red ribbon, brown and pink embroidery threads with needle, craft glue and small amount of stuffing.
FINISHED SIZE: Autumn Fairies: 3-1\2” tall; Cat: 2-1\2” tall; Pumpkin (without wheels) 2” tall X 3-1\2 wide.
Gauge: 8 hdc sts = 1”, 6 rows hdc = 1”
FAIRE WINGS (MAKE 4):
ROW 1: With Black and 7 hook ch-6, hdc 3 rd ch from hook, hdc next 2 ch, 3 hdc last ch, turn piece so you are now working across the bottom of the foundation ch (in bottom of sts just made), hdc across, join Pumpkin, fasten off Black, ch-1, turn. (9 sts)
ROW 2: Hdc next 3 sts, 2 dc next 3, hdc last 3 sts, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)
ROW 3: Hdc next 4 sts, 2 dc next, 2 trc next 2, 2 dc next, hdc last 4 sts, join Black, fasten off Pumpkin, ch-1, turn. (16 sts)
ROW 4: Sc next 4 sts, (2 sc next, sc next) 4 times, sc last 4 sts, join Pumpkin, fasten off Black, ch-1, turn. (20 sts)
ROW 5: Sl st next 8 sts, (hdc, dc) next st, 2 trc next 2, (dc, hdc) next, sl st last 8 sts, fasten off. (8 sts not including sl sts)
FAIRE HAT:
RND 1: With Black and 7 hook ch-25, sl st to form a ring, ch-1, hdc ea ch around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (25 sts)
RND 2-3: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 4: Hdc next 8 sts, hdc dec next 2, hdc next 5, hdc dec next 2, hdc last 8 sts, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (23 sts)
RND 5: Hdc next 8 sts, hdc dec next 2, hdc next 3, hdc dec next 2, hdc last 8 sts, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (21 sts)
