ROW 2: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
Rep row 2 until piece will fit around outer edge of pillow front. With needle and yarn sew short ends tog to form an lp. Sew long edge of lp to ea side of pillow stuffing as you sew.
BRAIDS (MAKE FOUR):
With Dark Earth and H hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 6 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (6 sts)
RND 2-34: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. End rnd 34 fasten off.
Cut six 24” lengths of 7\8” ribbon. Tack tog one braid, a length of ribbon and another braid. Braid the 3 strips tog like you would for hair. Tack bottom to hold. Tie another of the ribbons in a bow at the top of the braid. Tie a third ribbon in a bow at the bottom of the braid. Rep with the last 3 sections of ribbon and last 2 crochet pieces for braid. Sew completed braid to either side of Dark Earth pillow.

With Soft Earth and H hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 8 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (8 sts)
RND 2-4: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)(18 sts)(27 sts)
RND 5-7: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 8: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (18 sts)
RND 9: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 10: Rep rnd 8. (12 sts)
RND 11-12: Rep rnd 9.
RND 13: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (18 sts)
RND 14: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 5 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (21 sts)
RND 15-16: Rep rnd 9.
RND 17: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next 5 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (18 sts)
