Homespun Acorn Scarf
Free Crochet Pattern

MATERIALS:
Homespun yarn in Prairie & Sierra (one skein will make hat, scarf and purse) small amount in Antique (reddish color), Brown and Yellow, size K hook or hook to obtain gauge needle and invisible (clear) sewing thread.
GAUGE: 3 hdc = 1”, 5 rows hdc = 2”
FINISHED SIZE: 5” X 54”
SCARF:
ROW 1: With Sierra and K hook ch-16, hdc 3rd ch from hook hdc next 6 ch, join Prairie, drop Sierra, hdc last 7 ch, ch-1, turn. (14 sts)
ROW 2: Hdc next 7 sts, drop Prairie, pick up Sierra, hdc last 7 sts, ch-1, turn.
ROW 3: Hdc next 7 sts, drop Sierra, pick up Prairie, hdc last 7 sts, ch-1, turn.
ROW 4-117: Rep row 2-3.  End row 117 fasten off.
LEAF:
With Antique and K hook ch-9, sc 2nd ch from hook, sc next 2 ch, (dc, trc) next, (trc, dc) next, sc next 2, (dc, 2 trc, dc) last ch, turn piece so you are now working across the bottom of the foundation ch (in bottom of sts just made) sc next 2, (dc, trc) next, (trc, dc) next, sc last 3, fasten off.
-make 9.
ACORN:
ROW 1: With Yellow and K hook ch-2, work 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, ch-1, turn.  (3 sts)
ROW 2: 2 sc 1st st, sc next st, 2 sc last st, join Brown, fasten off Yellow, ch-1, turn.  (5 sts)
ROW 3: Sc 1st st, hdc next, 2 dc next, hdc next, sc last st, fasten off. (6 sts)
-make 6.
Using needle and invisible thread sew leaves and acorns to scarf.
