MATERIALS NEEDED:
Red Heart Hula yarn (3 ply sport weight) in Lemon Fizz (5 skeins for size 38 bust halter and 8 for jacket), needle to take yarn and hook for gauge.
GAUGE FOR HALTER:
E hook: 4 sts = 1”, 4 rows pattern = 1”
H hook: 4 sts = 1-1\4”, 4 rows pattern = 1-1\2”
J hook 4 sts = 1-1\2”, 4 rows pattern = 2”
GAUGE FOR JACKET:
E Hook: 2” for (Ch-7, sc 3 rd ch of next ch-7 lp, ch-3, sc same lp) twice. 1-1\2” for 3 rows of pattern.
H hook: 2-1\4” for (Ch-7, sc 3 rd ch of next ch-7 lp, ch-3, sc same lp) twice. 2” for 3 rows of pattern.
J hook: 2-1\2” for (Ch-7, sc 3 rd ch of next ch-7 lp, ch-3, sc same lp) twice. 2-1\2” for 3 rows of pattern.
FINISHED SIZE: E hook: 38”. H hook: 40” bust. J hook: 42” bust.
HALTER:
RND 1: With yarn and hook ch-209, sc 2 nd ch from hook, (dc next ch, sc next ch) across to last ch, dc last ch, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (208 sts)
RND 2-54: (Sc next dc, dc next sc) across, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. End row 54 fasten off.
ROW 55: With yarn and hook count over 44 sts from join in last rnd, join that st, (sc next st, dc next st) 60 times, leave remaining sts unworked, ch-1, turn. (120 sts)
ROW 56-64: Sk 1st st, sc next st, dc dec next 2 sts, (sc next st, dc next st) across to last 4 sts, sk next, sc next, dc dec last 2 sts, ch-1, turn. (116 sts)(112 sts)(108 sts)(104 sts)(100 sts)(96 sts)(92 sts)(88 sts)(84 sts)
ROW 65: (Sc next st, dc next st) across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 66: Sk 1st st, sc next st, dc dec next 2 sts, (sc next st, dc next st) across to last 4 sts, sk next, sc next, dc dec last 2 sts, ch-1, turn. (80 sts)
ROW 67-84: Rep row 65-66, alternating. End row 84 you will have 44 sts.
ROW 85: Rep row 65, fasten off.
