MATERIALS:
Baby Homespun yarn in: Sunshine, Sweet Pea, Soft Violet, Soft Lime, Carnation and Snow-white; 60mm 2 piece plastic ornament, various beads or buttons (to make noise in the ornament), stuffing, needle to take yarn, needle and embroidery threads, 60” of 3\8” wide light pink grosgrain ribbon, matching thread and H hook or hook to obtain gauge.
GAUGE: 4 sc = 1”, 3 rows sc = 1”
FINISHED SIZE: 21” long
HEAD:
With H and snow-white ch-4, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 8 sc in ring, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (8 sts)
RND 2-4: (2 sc next st, sc next st) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)(18 sts)(27 sts)
RND 5-10: Sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.
RND 11: (Sk next st, sc next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (18 sts) Add ornament with beads inside, lp toward opening and stuff lightly around ornament.
RND 12: (Sk next st, sc next 5 sts) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (15 sts)
RND 13: Sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn and stuff.
RND 14: Rep rnd 11. (10 sts)
RND 15: (Sk next st, sc next st) around, sl st top beg sc, fasten off. (5 sts)
LARGE CIRCLE:
Rep 1-4 of head.
RND 5: Sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.
RND 6: Sc next 2 sts, (2 sc next st, sc next 4 sts) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (32 sts)
RND 7: (2 sc next st, sc next 7 sts) around, sl st top beg sc, fasten off. (36 sts)
-make 1 circle in ea color.
MEDIUM CIRCLE:
Rep rnd 1-6 of lg circle, fasten off.
-make 1 of every color except snow-white.
