Pumpkin Baskets with Masks
Free Crochet Pattern

PUMPKIN:
With Pumpkin yarn and H hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 12 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (12 sts)
RND 2-3: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (18 sts)(27 sts)
RND 4: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1,turn.  (36 sts)
RND 5: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 3 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1,turn.  (45 sts)
RND 6: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 4 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1,turn.  (54 sts)
RND 7-8: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 9: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 5 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (63 sts)
RND 10-17: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 18: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next 5 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (54 sts)
RND 19: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next 4 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, fasten off.  (45 sts)
PUTTING THE PUMPKIN TOGETHER:
Using the patterns as a guide, cut out the eyes and mouth from felt.  Layer pieces and glue together.  Glue mouth and eyes to pumpkin making sure they are spaced the eyes peer out of the eyes holes in the mask.  Add a dot of

MATERIALS:
1-2 ounces Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Pumpkin, size H crochet hook, small amounts of felt in White, Light Blue, Red and Black, White fabric paint (Scribbles), craft glue, 6 Black chenille stems, sewing needle and sewing thread.
FINISHED SIZE:  4-1\2” tall and 4-1\2” across  
Gauge:  4 hdc = 1”, 3 rows = 1”
