Patterns Written In US Terms
MATERIALS:
4 ply yarn in the following colors: Pumpkin, Coffee, Frosty Green, Light Sage, Claret and Gold, H crochet hook or hook needed to obtain gauge, needle to take yarn, About 10 yds 20 gauge craft wire, wire cutters, pliers, stuffing, needle and thread.
FINISHED SIZE:  Small Pumpkin: 2” X 3”; Tall Pumpkin: 3” tall X 2” wide; Large Leaf 3” X 5”; Small Leaf 2-1\4” X 3”.  Finished vine is 3’ long.
Gauge: 4 sts (sc, dc) = 1”, 4 rows pattern = 1”
SMALL PUMPKIN:
With Pumpkin yarn and H hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, (sc, dc) 5 times in ring, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.  (10 sts)
RND 2: (Sc, dc) ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.  (20 sts)
RND 3: * Sc next dc, dc next sc, (sc, dc) next 2 sts, * rep bet ** around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.  (30 sts)
RND 4-7: (Sc next dc, dc next sc) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.
RND 8: (Sc next dc, dc next sc, sc next dc, dc dec next 2 sts, sk next st) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.  (20 sts)
RND 9: (Sc next dc, dc next sc, sc next dc, dc dec next 2 sts) 3 times, sc next st, dc last st, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.  (14 sts)
RND 10: (Sk next st, sc next 2 sts) 4 times, sk next st, sc last st, sl st top beg sc, fasten off.  (9 sts)

STEM:
ROW 1: With Lt sage and H hook ch-6, sc 2nd ch from hook, sc ea ch across, ch-1, turn.  (5 sts)
ROW 2: Working in back lps only, sc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 3-8: Back lp sc across, ch-1, turn.  At the end of row 8 fasten off.
FINISHING PUMPKIN:
Stuff pumpkin body firmly.  Beg at short end of stem roll to form a log.  Stick log (stem) inside pumpkin at opening.  With needle and pumpkin yarn sew stem to pumpkin.  With needle and pumpkin yarn, make side sections in pumpkin by inserting needle through inside top of pumpkin to bottom, pull yarn through and up side and down again by stem.  Rep to make 5 or 6 sections on the pumpkin.
