MATERIALS FOR GHOST
Size 10 crochet thread in White, size 7 crochet hook, one 1” wooden bead, 2 chenille stems, stuffing, needle the take crochet thread and black fabric paint.
FINISHED SIZE: 3-1\2” Gauge: 4 hdc sts = 1\2”, 3 rows hdc = 1\2”
GHOST:
Begin by folding one chenille stem in half at the center. Place 1” wooden bead onto stem at centerfold. Fold first one side then the other up and twist to make the legs.
With White and 7 hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 8 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (8 sts)
RND 2: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 3-5: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)(18 sts)(27 sts)
RND 6-9: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
Place head with body into crochet piece.
RND 10-11: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (18 sts)(12 sts)
RND 12-13: Rep rnd 2.
RND 14: 2 hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (24 sts)
RND 15: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (36 sts)
RND 16-23: Rep rnd 2.
RND 24: (Hdc dec next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, turn.
Stuff body keeping legs in the center.
RND 25: Ch-5, count over 8 sts from the join, sl st next st, ch-1, hdc next 5 ch and next 9 sts to form first leg, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (14 sts)
RND 26-29: Rep rnd 2.
RND 30: (hdc dec next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (7 sts)
Lay opening flat and sl st closed, fasten off.
RND 31: With White and 7 hook join in bottom 1st ch rnd 25, ch-1, hdc sa st as beg ch-1, hdc next 4 ch, hdc
