MATERIALS: 4 ply yarn in Royal, Bernat Boa yarn in (Dove) White, size H hook or hook needed to obtain gauge, needle to take yarn, 1 small snap, sm amount of stuffing needle and sewing thread.
GAUGE: 4 hdc = 1”, 3 rows hdc = 1”
FINISHED SIZE: Will fit large size Baby Bratz doll
HAT:
With Royal and H hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 12 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)
RND 2-3: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (18 sts)(27 sts)
RND 4-5: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (36 sts)(48 sts)
RND 6-9: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
ROW 10: Hdc next 38 sts, leave remaining sts unworked, ch-1, turn. (38 sts)
ROW 11-14: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn. End row 14 fasten off.
HAT TRIM:
ROW 1: With Bernat Boa and H hook ch-6, hdc 3 rd ch from hook, hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn. (4 sts)
ROW 2: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
Rep row 2 until piece will fit across front edge of hat, fasten off. Sew to hat.
SNOWBALL ENDS FOR HAT:
With Bernat Boa and H hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 12 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)
RND 2: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (18 sts)
RND 3-4: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 5-6: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)(8 sts) Stuff ball.
RND 7: (Hdc dec next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, fasten off. (4 sts)
-make 2. With Royal yarn and H hook join in one st inside edge of hat, ch-40, fasten off. Sew snowball to end. Rep ea side to finish hat.
COAT:
ROW 1: With Royal and H hook ch-52, hdc 3 rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (50 sts)
