MATERIALS:
1 TLC Amore yarn in Celery, Scarlet and White, H hook or hook needed to obtain gauge, small amount of cardboard, sm amount of felt, black & red fabric paint, bit of blush, needle and invisible (clear) sewing thread.
FINISHED SIZE: Bag #1: 10-1\2” wide by 6-1\2” tall. Bag # 2: 6-1\2” wide by 10-1\2” tall.
Gauge: 3 hdc sts = 1”, 2 rows hdc = 1”
BASIC GIFT BAG FRONT\BACK:
ROW 1: With yarn and H hook ch-22, hdc 3 rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (20 sts)
ROW 2-28: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn. End row 28 fasten off.
-You will need to make two for ea gift bag.
SIDES FOR BAG # 1:
ROW 1: With yarn and H hook ch-9, hdc 3 rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (7 sts)
ROW 2-18: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn. End row 18 fasten off.
-Make two.
BOTTOM FOR BAG # 1:
ROW 1: With yarn and H hook ch-9, hdc 3 rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (9 sts)
ROW 2-28: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn. End row 28 fasten off.
-Make one. Using piece as a pattern cut one of cardboard.
SIDES FOR BAG # 2:
Rep row 1-28 of bag # 1 bottom.
Make 2.
BOTTOM FOR BAG # 2:
Rep row 1-18 of bag # 1 sides.
-Make 1.
HANDLES:
ROW 1: With Scarlet and H hook ch-4, sc 2 nd ch from hook, join Celery, carry Scarlet behind next st, sc next ch, drop Celery, pick up Scarlet, sc last ch, ch-1, turn. (3 sts)
ROW 2: Sc next st, work Scarlet behind, pick up Celery, sc next st, drop Celery, pick up Scarlet, sc last
