MATERIALS NEEDED:
Size 10 crochet thread in Blue, Bernat Boa yarn in Dove (White), size 7 & H hooks or hooks needed to obtain gauge, 150 size 8 mm blue sequins, large eye beading needle, 1 small snap, needle and sewing thread.
GAUGE: Thread: 8 hdc sts = 1”, 3 rows pattern (hdc\dc) = 1”. Boa: 4 rows hdc = 1”, 4 hdc sts = 1”
FINISHED SIZE: Will fit small 4-1\2: size Baby Bratz Doll
GOWN SKIRT:
With large eye beading needle thread sequins on crochet thread, remove beading needle.
RND 1: With Blue thread and 7 hook ch-30, sl st to form a ring, ch-1, sc ea ch around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (30 sts)
RND 2: (Slide sequin, sc next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg sc, turn.
RND 3: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg ch-3, ch-1, turn.
RND 4-13: Rep rnd 2-3 alternating.
RND 14: Rep rnd 2.
ROW 15: Sl st next 11 sts, ch-1, hdc next 8 sts, leave remaining sts unworked,ch-1, turn. (8 sts)
ROW 16: (Slide sequin, sc next 2 sts) across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 17: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 18: Rep row 16. At end row 16 ch-8, sl st in back of gown at join, fasten off. Join opposite corner of front top of gown, ch-8, sl st in 2 sts from join in back, fasten off. This forms the straps of the gown.
GOWN EDGING:
RND 1: With Blue thread and 7 hook join in any st bottom rnd 1 of gown, ch-4 (1 st dc + ch-1), dc same st, (dc, ch-1, dc) ea st around, sl st 3 rd ch of beg ch-5, turn. (60 sts)
RND 2-3: Sl st to next ch-1 sp, ch-4 (1 st dc + ch-1), dc same sp, (dc, ch-1, dc) ea ch-1 sp around, sl st 3 rd ch of beg ch-5, turn. (152 sts)
RND 4: (ch-4 sl st next ch-1 sp, ch-3, sl st next ch-1 sp) around ending with ch-4, sl st top beg sl st, fasten off.
CAPE:
ROW 1: With Boa and H hook ch-16, hdc 3 rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (14 sts)
ROW 2: 2 hdc ea next 10 sts, leave remaining sts unworked, ch-1, turn. (20 sts)
ROW 3: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) across, fasten off. (30 sts)
Sew snap to cape at collar.
