MATERIALS:
Size 10 crochet thread in Black, Three 27 yd skeins DMC size 5 Metallic Pearl Cotton in Gold, size 7 & 0 (zero) hooks, necklace clasp, sewing needle and invisible (clear) sewing thread.
FINISHED SIZE: 24” long
COIN STRAND:
1ST COIN: With Gold and 0 (zero) hook ch-24, sl st 4 th ch from hook, in lp just formed, ch-1 and work 12 hdc in lp, sl st top beg hdc.
NEXT COIN: Ch-9, sl st 4 th ch from hook, in lp just formed, ch-1, work 12 hdc in lp, sl st top beg hdc.
Rep next coin a total of 3 times.
LAST COIN: Ch-9, sl st 4 th ch from hook, in lp just formed, ch-1, work 12 hdc in lp, sl st top beg hdc, ch-20, fasten off.
-Make 5.
NECKLACE:
ROW 1: With Black and 7 hook, join in top 1 coin strand, ch-1, sc same ch as beg ch-1, (sc top next coin strand) 4 times, ch-1, turn. (5 sts)
ROW 2: Sc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 3-5: Sk 1st st, sc ea st across, ch-1, turn. (4 sts)(3 sts)(2 sts)
ROW 6-74: Sc ea st across, ch-1, turn. End row 74 fasten off.
Rep other side.
With needle and sewing thread sew necklace clasp to ends.
