MATERIALS Baby wt yarn in Teal and White, size E hook or hook to obtain gauge, 38 mm Porcelain doll head and hands, needle to take yarn and small amount of stuffing.
Gauge: 6 sc = 1", 6 sc rows = 1"
DRESS:
RND 1: With Teal and E hook ch-16, sl st to form a ring, ch-1, sc in ea ch around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (16 sts)
RND 2-4: Sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.
RND 5: (work next 2 sts tog as 1 in a sc dec, sc next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)
RND 6-8: Sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.
RND 9: 2 sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (24 sts)
RND 10: (2 sc next st, sc next 3 sts) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (30 sts)
RND 11-12: Sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.
RND 13: (2 sc next st, sc next 4 sts) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (36 sts)
RND 14-32: Sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. At the end of rnd 32 fasten off.
Glue dress around shoulders of doll head.
BASE:
With Teal and E hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 8 sc in ring, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.
RND 2-4: (2 sc next st, sc next st) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. At the end of rnd 4 fasten off. (12 sts)(18 sts)(27 sts)
ARMS (MAKE TWO):
With Teal and E hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 8 sc in ring, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (8 sts)
RND 2-8: Sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.
RND 9: (Sc dec next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg sc, fasten off. (4 sts)
