MATERIALS: Size 10 crochet thread in Red and Green, Two 27 yd skeins DMC size 5 Metallic Pearl Cotton in Silver, size 7 hook and needle to take crochet thread.
FINISHED SIZE: 28” not including heart.
NECKLACE STRAND:
Leaving long tails with thread and 7 hook ch-300, fasten off.
-make 4 Green, 2 Silver and 10 Red.
HEART:
ROW 1: With Silver and 7 hook ch-3, hdc 3 rd ch from hook, ch-1, turn. (1 st)
ROW 2: 2 hdc only st, ch-1, turn. (2 sts)
ROW 3: 2 hdc next 2 sts, ch-1, turn. (4 sts)
ROW 4-7: 2 hdc next st, hdc ea st across to last st, 2 hdc last st, ch-1, turn. (6 sts)(8 sts)(10 sts)(12 sts)
ROW 8: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 9: * sc next st, hdc next, (2 dc, 2 trc, 2 dc) next, hdc next, sc next, * sl st next 2, rep bet **, ch-1, turn. (20 sts)
RND 10: Evenly sc ea st and row around working sl st in sl sts previous row and 4 sc in heart point, sl st top beg sc, fasten off.

BAND:
ROW 1: With Silver and 7 hook ch-11, hdc 3 rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (9 sts)
ROW 2: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 3: Hdc ea st across, join Green, fasten off Silver, ch-1, turn.
ROW 4: Hdc ea st across, join Red, fasten off Green, ch-1, turn.
ROW 5: Hdc ea st across, join Green, fasten off Red, ch-1, turn.
ROW 6: Hdc ea st across, join Silver, fasten off Green, ch-1, turn.
ROW 7-9: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn. End row 9 fasten off.

PUTTING NECKLACE TOGETHER:
Lay all the strands together and fold in half. About 4” (not counting long tails) place one heart. Place the second heart behind this, sandwiching in the strands. With needle and Silver thread sew heart tog. Sew one band to ea side of necklace, about 2” from heart.
