RND 4: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, fasten off.
Stuff snowman to rnd 16 of body, sew inner bottom at this point inside snowman’s body.
BOTTOM:
With White and H hook rep rnd 1-3 of inner bottom.
RND 4: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (36 sts)
RND 5: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 3 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (45 sts)
RND 6: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 4 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (54 sts)
RND 7: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 5 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (63 sts)
RND 8: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 6 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, fasten off. (72 sts)
Light stuff remainder of snowman, just enough for it to hold it’s shape, sew bottom to bottom of snowman.
ARM:
RND 1: With Black and H hook ch-5, hdc 3rd ch from hook, hdc next ch, 2 hdc last ch, turn piece so you are now working across the bottom of the foundation ch (in bottom of sts just made) hdc next 2, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (6 sts)
RND 2: Hdc ea st around, join White, fasten off Black, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 3-7: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. End rnd 7 fasten off.
-make 2, sew to ea side of snowman at shoulders.
HAT:
With Black and H hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 12 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)
RND 2: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (18 sts)
RND 3: Back Loop hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 4: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 5: 2 hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, fasten off. (36 sts)
With Red fabric paint, paint a line around the hat for the hatband. Once completely dry, place hat on snowman’s head and if you like tack to hold in place.
SCARF:
ROW 1: With Black and H hook ch-4, hdc 3rd ch from hook, hdc last ch, ch-1, turn. (2 sts)
ROW 2-32: Hdc ea st around, ch-1, turn. End row 32 fasten off.
Place around snowman’s neck, tack to hold in place.
SNOWMAN’S FACE AND BUTTONS:
With hat and scarf in place, take black fabric paint and make buttons, mouth and eyes on the snowman. With orange fabric paint make the nose. Let dry completely.
