MATERIALS: 2 ea DMC Pearl Cotton size 5 (27 yd) skeins in Light Pink 605 and Dark Pink 600, 1” plastic ring, O hook or hook to obtain gauge, 2 small snaps, needle and thread.
GAUGE: 8 hdc = 1”, 8 rows hdc = 1-1\2”
FINISHED SIZE: 2-1\4” X 4-1\4”
PLEASE NOTE: Work color not being used behind the sts as you make them.
POUCH:
ROW 1: With Lt Pink and O hook ch-34, hdc 3 rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (32 sts)
ROW 2: Hdc next 3 sts, join Dk Pink, hdc next st, * drop Dk, pick up Lt, hdc next 7, drop Lt, pick up Dk, hdc next, * rep bet ** 3 times, drop Dk, pick up Lt, hdc last 4, ch-1, turn.
ROW 3: Hdc next 3 sts, * drop Lt, pick up Dk, hdc next 3, drop Dk, pick up Lt, hdc next 5, * rep bet ** 3 times, drop Lt, pick up Dk, hdc next 3, drop Dk, pick up Lt, hdc last 2, ch-1, turn.
ROW 4: Hdc next st, * drop Lt, pick up Dk, hdc next 5, drop Dk, pick up Lt, hdc next 3, * rep bet ** 3 times, drop Lt, pick up Dk, hdc next 5, drop Dk, pick up Lt, hdc last 2 sts, ch-1, turn.
ROW 5: Hdc next st, * drop Lt, pick up Dk, hdc next 7, drop Dk, pick up Lt, hdc next, * rep bet ** 3 times, drop Lt, pick up Dk, hdc next 7, drop Dk, pick up Lt, hdc last st, ch-1, turn.
-Make 2. Sew short edge tog.
BOTTOM (MAKE 2):
RND 1: With Lt Pink and O hook ch-9, hdc 3 rd ch from hook, hdc next 5, 2 hdc last ch, turn piece so you are now working across the bottom of the foundation ch, hdc ea ch across, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (14 sts)
RND 2: 2 hdc next 2 sts, hdc next 3, 2 hdc next 4, hdc next 3, 2 hdc last 2 sts, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (22 sts)
RND 3: 2 hdc next 3 sts, hdc next 4, 2 hdc next 7, hdc next 4, 2 hdc last 4 sts, sl st top beg hdc, fasten off. (36 sts)
Sew to the bottom of ea pouch.
RING:
With Dk Pink and O hook work sc around ring until completely covered, sl st next st, fasten off.
TIES (MAKE 4):
With Dk Pink and O hook ch-50, fasten off.
Fold tie in half and lay the ring on the tie and lp free ends through the lp made when you folded the tie in half and pull tight. Do for all ties. With needle and thread sew four tie ends to one pouch, 2 ea side, and the other tie ends to the other pouch. Sew a snap to the top edge of ea pouch.
