MATERIALS: Small amounts of Red Heart 4 ply yarns in White, Burgundy and Paddy Green, small amount of Lion Brand Fun Fur yarn in White, needle to take yarn, 2 black pom-poms, 1 red pom-pom, craft glue and size H hook or hook to obtain gauge.
FINISHED SIZE: Bow: 5” across. Santa: 3” (widest point on beard) X 3-1\2” long
Gauge: 4 sc sts = 1”, 4 rows sc = 1”, 4 sts of pattern (sc, dc) = 1”, 3 rows of pattern = 1”
BOTTOM BOW:
ROW 1: With Green and H hook ch-5, sc 2 nd ch from hook, dc next ch, sc next ch, dc last ch, ch-1, turn. (4 sts)
ROW 2-32: (Sc next st, dc next st) twice, ch-1, turn. End row 32 fasten off.
TOP BOW:
Rep row 1-29 of bottom bow. Fasten off end row 29.
BOW TAILS (MAKE TWO):
Rep row 1-10 of bottom bow. Fasten off end row 10.
PUTTING BOW TOGETHER:
Find the center of bottom bow. Fold ea short end to the center and sew ea short end to bottom bow at this point only. Rep this for top bow. Lay the top bow on top the bottom bow and tack tog at center. Sew ea tail at back of bow.
SANTA:
ROW 1: With White 4 ply and H hook ch-9, sc 2 nd ch from hook, sc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (8 sts)
ROW 2-6: Sc ea st across, ch-1, turn. End row 6 fasten off.
BEARD EDGING:
With White 4 ply and H join in side of 3rd row, ch-1, sc end next row, 5 dc next row, (sk next st, sc next st, sk next st, 5 dc next st) twice, sk end row, sc in side of next row, sl st next row, fasten off.
With needle and yarn sew tog the 1st and last st of row 1.
MOUSTACHE:
With White 4 ply and H hook ch-12, sl st 2 nd ch from hook, hdc next, dc next 2, sl st next, dc next 2, hdc next, sc next, sl st last st, fasten off. (9 sts not counting sl sts)
