Patterns Written In US Terms
This pattern was done using suede yarn but any worsted weight yarn will work.  The same thing for the boa: any light weight speciality yarn will work.
MATERIALS:
1\2 skein Lion Bran Suede yarn in Taupe, 1\2 skein Bernat Boa yarn in Faucon, needle to take Boa yarn and H hook or hook to obtain gauge.
GAUGE: Suede: 3 hdc = 1”, 5 rows hdc = 2”.  Boa: 4 hdc sts = 1”, 3 rows hdc = 1”.
FINISHED SIZE: Hat will fit most adults.
HAT SECTION:
ROW 1: With Suede and H ch-4, hdc 3rd ch from hook, hdc next ch, ch-1, turn.  (2 sts)
ROW 2-5: 2 hdc next st, hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  (3 sts)(4 sts)(5 sts)(6 sts)
ROW 6-8: 2 hdc next st, hdc ea st across to last st, 2 hdc last st, ch-1, turn.  (8 sts)(10 sts)(12 sts)
ROW 9: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 10: 2 hdc next st, hdc ea st across to last st, 2 hdc last st, ch-1, turn.  (14 sts)
ROW 11-15: Rep row 9.
 ROW 16: Hdc ea st across, join Boa, fasten off Suede, ch-1, turn.
RND 17: (Hdc next st, 2 hdc next st) 6 times, hdc next, 3 hdc last st, turn so you are now working across side and evenly (hdc next row, 2 hdc next row) around working 3 hdc in turns, sl st top beg hdc, fasten off.  (86 sts)
-make 4.  With Boa yarn and needle sew all four sections tog.
HAT EDGING:
RND 1: With Boa and H hook join in any st bottom edge of hat, ch-1, hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, fasten off.
