Patterns Written In US Terms
MATERIALS: 2 skeins Lion Bran Suede yarn in Taupe, 2-1\2 skeins Bernat Boa yarn in Faucon, large snap, needle to take Boa yarn, needle, sewing thread and H hook or hook to obtain gauge.
GAUGE: Suede: 3 hdc = 1”, 5 rows hdc = 2”.  Boa: 4 hdc sts = 1”, 3 rows hdc = 1”.
FINISHED SIZE: 7” tall, 8” wide and 6” deep
PURSE:
With Suede and H hook ch-4, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work (3 hdc, ch-2) 4 times in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (12 sts)
RND 2-8: Hdc ea st around working (hdc, ch-2, hdc) in ea ch-2 sp, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (20 sts)(28 sts)(36 sts)(44 sts)(52 sts)(60 sts)(68 sts)
RND 9: Hdc ea st around sk all ch-2 sps, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (68 sts)
RND 10: Hdc next 8 sts, (hdc dec next 2, hdc next 15) 3 times, hdc dec next 2, hdc last 7, join Boa, fasten off Suede, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (64 sts)
RND 11: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 3 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (80 sts)
RND 12-30: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  End rnd 30 fasten off.
With needle and Boa yarn sew at sides.  Find side by tracing up from corner Suede bottom, fold in half and sew 2” out from fold on top edge.  Rep on other side of purse.
STRIPS:
ROW 1: With Suede and H hook ch-5, hdc 3rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn.  (3 sts)
ROW 2-17: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  End row 17 fasten off.
-make 4.  Sew two to front and two to back of purse matching with bottom corners.
FLAP:
With Suede and H hook rep rnd 1-8 of purse.  Fasten off end rnd 8.
Sew on side of flap along back edge of purse.  Sew snap to front of purse and flap.
PURSE STRAP:
ROW 1: With Suede and H hook ch-5, hdc 3rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn.  (3 sts)
ROW 2-77: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  End rnd 77 fasten off.
Sew to ea side of purse.

Suede & Boa Purse Free Crochet Pattern
This pattern was done using suede yarn but any worsted weight yarn will work.  The same thing for the boa: any light weight speciality yarn will work.
