1960’s Inspired Belt Free Crochet Pattern

MATERIALS:
1 skein Lion Brand Micro Spun yarn in Lime, H hook or hook to obtain gauge, four 3” diameter brass rings and needle to take yarn.
GAUGE: 4 sts = 1”, 3 rows pattern = 1”
FINISHED SIZE: 2-1\2” X 48”

BELT:
ROW 1: With lime yarn and H hook ch-11, sc 2nd ch from hook, (dc next ch, sc next ch) across to last ch, dc last ch, ch-1, turn.  (10 sts)
ROW 2-30: (Sc next dc, dc next sc) across, ch-1, turn.  End row 30 fasten off.
-Make 3 of theses.  The finished section measures 2-1\2” X 16”, if you’d like to make your belt longer or shorter add or subtract rows in these sections.
LAST SECTION\TIE:
ROW 1: With lime yarn and H hook ch-2, sc 2nd ch from hook, ch-1, turn.  (1 st)
ROW 2: Sc, Dc same st, ch-1, turn.  (2 sts)
ROW 3: (Sc, dc) 1st st, dc last st, ch-1, turn.  (3 sts)
ROW 4: Sc next st, dc next, (sc, dc) last st, ch-1, turn.  (4 sts)
ROW 5: (Sc, dc) 1st st, sc next, dc next 2, ch-1, turn.  (5 sts)
ROW 6: (Sc next st, dc next st) twice, (sc, dc) last st, ch-1, turn.  (6 sts)
ROW 7: (Sc, dc) 1st st, (sc next st, dc next st) twice, dc last st, ch-1, turn.  (7 sts)
ROW 8: (Sc next st, dc next st) 3 times, (sc, dc) last st, ch-1, turn.  (8 sts)
ROW 9: (Sc, dc) 1st st, (sc next st, dc next st) 3 times, dc last st, ch-1, turn.  (9 sts)
ROW 10: (Sc next st, dc next st) 4 times, (sc, dc) last st, ch-1, turn.  (10 sts)
ROW 11-51: (Sc next st, dc next st) across, ch-1, turn.  End row 51 fasten off. -Make one.
PUTTING IT TOGETHER:
Sew ea section to a ring across short ends and leaving 1st ring free on one side.  To wear belt place around waist and tie off free end of last ring.  Crochet stripes to break up the color.  You could also do ea section in a different color or varying degrees of the same color.  You could also make the belt with just one brass ring.  It’s all up to you and your imagination!
