Patterns Written in US Terms

MATERIALS:
Size 10 crochet thread in Yellow (Maze), Light blue and Mint Green, 7 hook or hook to obtain gauge, sewing needle, thread and purchased necklace clasp.
GAUGE: 4 hdc sts = 1”, 3 rows hdc = 1”, Round is 2” diameter  
FINISHED SIZE: 18” long

BASIC ROUND:
With thread and 7 hook ch-4, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 8 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (8 sts)
RND 2-4: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (12 sts)(18 sts)(27 sts)
RND 5-6: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  End rnd 6 fasten off.  (36 sts)(48 sts) -make 5 Yellow, make 5 Lt Blue, make 5 Mint Green

END CAPS OR BELL CAPS:
With Mint Green and 7 hook ch-4, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 8 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (8 sts)
RND 2-3: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (12 sts)(18 sts)
 RND 4-7: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  End rnd 7 fasten off. -make 2

.PUTTING IT TOGETHER:
With Mint Green and 7 hook leaving long tails, ch-86, fasten off  -make 3
Measure in 6” from end on one ch length, sew a round there and sew 4 more rounds 1” apart alternating colors. Rep for ea ch length. Lay all 3 ch lengths tog.  Pull tails from one end through bell cap and through center of rnd 1, knot, trim ends or sew to hold.  Do this on the other side.  Attached purchased clasp.
