Nantucket Belt Free Crochet Pattern

MATERIALS:
2 skeins DMC Pearl Cotton (27 yd skeins) in Orange 922 and Green 3348, size O hook or hook needed to obtain gauge and  buckle.
GAUGE: 8 Hdc sts = 1”, 5 rows hdc = 1”
FINISHED SIZE: 1” wide X 51” long

BELT:
ROW 1: With orange and O hook ch-10, hdc 3rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn.  (8 sts)
ROW 2-12: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  End row 12 join green, fasten off orange.
ROW 13-16: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  End row 16 join orange, fasten off green.
ROW 17: Hdc ea st across, join gr, ch-1, turn, fasten off or.
ROW 18-33: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  End row 33 join or, fasten off gr.
ROW 34-35: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  End row 35 join gr, fasten off or.
ROW 36-37: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  End row 37 join or, fasten off gr.
ROW 38-39: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  End row 39 join gr, fasten off or.
ROW 40-41: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  End row 41 join or, fasten off gr.
ROW 42-49: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  End row 49 join gr, fasten off or.
RND 50-53: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  End row 53 join or, fasten off gr.
Rep row 2-53 for a total of 5 times or for desired length.
To get the 51” length I repeated the pattern for 5 times and then worked 2-17 and then fastened off—it was the end of my 2 skeins of DMC Pearl Cotton.
Do it in three or more colors to get a different look.  Just pick part of the pattern to repeat like the small stripes and again you’ll achieve a different belt entirely.
