Pink Flower Wrist Purse Free Crochet Pattern
MATERIALS:
Bernat Baby Coordinates yarns in Baby Pink and Sweet Pink, G hook or hook to obtain gauge and needle to take yarn.
GAUGE: 4 hdc = 1”, 3 rows hdc = 1”
FINISHED SIZE: Purse: 4” diameter with 4” long strap, Petal: 1-3\4” tall X 2” at widest point.
PURSE (MAKE 2):
With Baby Pink and G hook ch-4, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 12 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)
RND 2-3: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (18 sts)(27 sts)
RND 4-5: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (36 sts)(48 sts)
RND 6: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
ROW 7: Hdc next 10 sts, leave remaining sts unworked, ch-1, turn. (10 sts)
ROW 8: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 9: Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next 6, hdc dec next 2, ch-1, turn. (8 sts)
ROW 10-11: Rep row 8.
ROW 12: Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next 4, hdc dec last 2 sts, ch-1, turn. (6 sts)
ROW 13-19: Rep row 8. End row 19 fasten off.
PETAL (MAKE 18):
ROW 1: With Baby Pink and G hook ch-3, 2 hdc 3 rd ch from hook, ch-1, turn. (2 sts)
ROW 2: 2 hdc next 2 sts, ch-1, turn. (4 sts)
ROW 3: 2 hdc next 4 sts, join Sweet Pink, ch-1, do not turn, fasten off Pink.
RND 4: Sc evenly around petal, sl st top beg sc, fasten off. (19 sts)
SIDES:
ROW 1: With Baby Pink and G hook ch-6, hdc 3 rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (4 sts)
ROW 2: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
Rep row 2 until piece can go around bottom edges of purse.
PUTTING IT TOGETHER:
Beg with 5 petals and needle threaded with Baby Pink yarn. Fold one petal in half widthwise and tack to hold. Arrange remaining 4 petals around folded one (center of flower) and sew to hold. Make 2 of these and set aside. Take the remaining 8 petals and sew just the ends of petals to rnd 3 of one side of purse, over lapping petal edges. Sew one center flower to center of purse. Sew short ends of strap tog and then sew last flower center to this seam. Sew the sides around bottom (circle) of purse. If you wish you can add a snap to the top of the purse (circle).
