MATERIALS:
Red Heart Brand Luster Sheen yarn, needle to take yarn, 2 pkgs 0f 200 count 8 mm crystal sequins, small charm, needle and thread, snap and F hook or hook to obtain gauge.
GAUGE: 5 Hdc sts = 1”, 4 rows hdc = 1”
FINISHED SIZE: 4” X 6”
PURSE:
With needle, thread sequins onto yarn, remove needle.
ROW 1: Ch-33, hdc 2 nd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 2-33: (Slide sequin, hdc next 2 sts) across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 33-41: Slide sequin, hdc dec next 2 sts, (hdc next st, slide sequin, hdc next st) across to last 2 sts, hdc dec next 2 sts, ch-1, turn. End row 41 fasten off. (30 sts)(28 sts)(26 sts)(24 sts)(22 sts)(20 sts)(18 sts)(16 sts)(14 sts)
HAND STRAP FOR BACK OF PURSE:
ROW 1: With white yarn, F hook and remaining sequins on yarn, ch-7, hdc 2 nd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (6 sts)
ROW 2-15: (Slide sequin, hdc next 2 sts) across, ch-1, turn. End row 15 fasten off.
Fold bottom half of the purse up so that it touches row 33 or dec row, with needle and yarn sew sides of purse. Position hand strap across the back of the purse and with needle and yarn sew both short end to purse. With needle and thread sew snap to purse at front flap.
HEART:
ROW 1: With Luster Sheen and F hook ch-2, sc 2 nd ch from hook, ch-1, turn. (1 st)
ROW 2: 3 sc next st, ch-1, turn. (3 sts)
ROW 3: 2 sc next st, sc next st, 2 sc last st, ch-1, turn. (5 sts)
ROW 4: 2 sc next st, sc next 3 sts, 2 sc last st, ch-1, turn. (7 sts)
ROW 5: Sc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 6: Sk 1st st, (2 dc, trc) next st, 2 trc next st, sl st next st, 2 trc next st, (trc, 2 dc) next st, sl st last st, fasten off.
With needle and thread sew heart to center flap of envelope purse. Sew charm in center point of heart.
