Tulip Place Mat Free Crochet Pattern
MATERIALS:
Bernat Baby Coordinates yarn in the following colors: Iced Mint and Lovely Lilac, size H crochet hook or hook to obtain gauge and needle to take yarn.
Gauge: 4 sts = 1”, 4 rows pattern = 1”
Finished size: 12” x 16-1\2” with scallop boarder.
PLACE MAT:
ROW 1: With Iced Mint yarn and H hook ch-57, sc 2 nd ch from hook, (dc next ch, sc next ch) across to last ch, dc last ch, ch-1, turn. (56 sts)
ROW 2-32: (Sc next st, dc next st) across, ch-1, turn. End row 32 fasten off.
CORNER SCALLOP:
ROW 1: With Iced Mint and H hook count over 16 sts from end (going right to left) on long edge of place mat, join that st, ch-1, work dc dec in same st as ch-1 and next st, (sc next st, dc next st) 6 times, (sc,dc) in next 2 sts and end of next row, (sc next row, dc next row) 8 times, dc dec next 2 rows, ch-1, turn. (40 sts)
ROW 2: Sk 1st st, (Sc next st, dc next st) across to last 3 sts, sc next st, dc dec next 2 sts, ch-1, turn. (38 sts)
ROW 3: Dc dec next 2 sts, (sc next st, dc next st) 6 times, (sc,dc) next 4 sts, (sc next st, dc next st) 7 times, dc dec last 2 sts, ch-1, turn. (40 sts)
ROW 4: Sk 1st st, (sc next st, dc next st) across to last 3 sts, sc next st, dc dec last 2 sts, fasten off. (38 sts)

CENTER SCALLOP:
ROW 1: With Iced Mint and H hook join in 1st free st last rnd of place mat, ch-1, dc dec same st as beg ch-1 and next st, (sc next st, dc next st) 10 times, dc dec last 2 sts, ch-1, turn. (22 sts)
