Patterns Written in US Terms

MATERIALS:
1 skein Bernat Boa yarn in Dove, small amount of size 10 crochet thread in white, size H and 7 crochet hooks, large eye beading needle, four 30 gram bottles of E size glass beads in color of your choice, small snap, needle and thread.
GAUGE: 3 hdc = 1”, 4 rows hdc = 1-1\2”
FINISHED SIZE: 6-1\2” wide X 5-1\2” tall
PURSE:
RND 1: With Dove yarn and H hook ch-15, hdc 3rd ch from hook, hdc next 11, 2 hdc last ch, turn piece so you are now working across the bottom of the foundation ch, hdc ea ch across, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (26 sts)
RND 2: 2 hdc next 2 sts, hdc next 10, 2 hdc next 3 sts, hdc next 10, 2 hdc last st, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (32 sts)
RND 3: 2 hdc next 2 sts, hdc next 12, 2 hdc next 4, hdc next 12, 2 hdc last 2 sts, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (40 sts)
RND 4-19: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  End rnd 19 fasten off.
BEADED OUTER SHELL:
With large eye beading needle (found in most beading areas of craft store) thread beads onto crochet thread.  Remove needle.
RND 1: With white thread and 7 hook, ch-1, (slide bead, ch-1) 94 times, sl st top beg ch-1, ch-1, turn.  (95 ch)
RND 2: Sc in 1st ch, (* slide bead, ch-1, * rep bet ** 5 times, sk next 4 ch, sc next ch) around ending with rep bet ** 5 times, sk 4 sts, sl st top beg sc, ch-2, do not turn.
