Patterns Written in US Terms

Materials: 2-3 oz worsted weight yarn in Hunter Green, size H crochet hook and 84 pop tabs.
Gauge: 5 hdc sts = 1-1]\2”, 6 rows hdc = 2”
Finished Size: 7” diameter
Special Stitches:
PTH = Pop Tab Half Double Crochet.  Work as you would for a normal hdc, yo, inset hook into st, slide a pop tab right side toward you onto your hook, yo and pull through all loops to complete stitch.
DPTH = Double Pop Tab Half Double Crochet. Work as you would for a normal hdc, yo, inset hook into st, slide the second opening in the pop tab worked in a previous row, then side a pop tab right side toward you onto your hook, yo and pull through all loops to complete stitch.
FINPTH = Finish Pop Tab Half Double Crochet. Work as you would for a normal hdc, yo, inset hook into st, slide the second opening in the pop tab worked in a previous row,  yo and pull through all loops to complete stitch and finish attaching the pop tabs.
Pot Holder:
With Green and H hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work PTH 12 times in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (12 sts)
RND 2: 2 hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (24 sts)
RND 3: (PTH next st, DPTH next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 4: Rep rnd 2.  (48 sts)
RND 5: Rep rnd 3.
RND 6: Rep row 2.  (96 sts)
RND 7: (Hdc next st, FINPTH next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, fasten off.
