Blue Flower Tote
Free Crochet Pattern

MATERIALS:
2 skeins Homespun yarn in Colonial, Bernat Baby Coordinates yarn in Soft Blue and Blue Bon-Bon, size K & F hook or hook to obtain gauge and needle to take yarns.
GAUGE: Homespun: 3 hdc = 1”, 5 rows hdc = 2-1\2”.  Bernat: 4 hdc = 1”, 3 rows hdc =1”
FINISHED SIZE: 11” wide X 10” tall X 2” deep
TOTE:
ROW 1: With Colonial and K hook ch-32, hdc 3rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn.  (30 sts)
ROW 2-53: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  End row 53 fasten off.
SIDE:
ROW 1: With Colonial and K hook ch-10, hdc 3rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (8 sts)
 ROW 2-24: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  End row 24 fasten off.
-make 2.  Sew ea side to tote beg at one long edge and sew around 3 sides of the side.
HANDLE:
ROW 1: With Colonial and K hook, ch-6, hdc 3rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn.  (4 sts)
ROW 2-37: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  End row 37 fasten off.
-make 2.  Sew ea handle tog at long edges.  Sew to tote.
FLOWER PETAL:
ROW 1: With Blue Bon-Bon and F hook ch-5, hdc 3rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn.  (3 sts)
ROW 2: 2 hdc next st, drop Bon-Bon, join Soft Blue, hdc next st, drop Soft Blue, pick up Bon-Bon, 2 hdc last st, ch-1, turn.  (5 sts)
ROW 3: 2 hdc next st, drop Bon-Bon, pick up Soft Blue, hdc next 3 sts, drop Soft Blue, 2 hdc last st, fasten off Bon-Bon, pick up Soft Blue, ch-1, turn.  (7 sts)
ROW 4: 2 hdc next st, hdc ea st across, to last st, 2 hdc last st, ch-1, turn.  (9 sts)
ROW 5: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
