MATERIALS:
2-3 oz worsted weight yarn in Light Sage, Frosty Green and White, small amount of burgundy or Royal Blue worsted yarn, small amount of brown and orange felt, black fabric paint, H crochet hook or hook needed to obtain gauge, needle to take yarn, White snowflake sequins and no-sew glue.
FINISHED SIZE:
Gauge: 4 sts (sc, 5 dc shell) = 3”, 4 rows of pattern = 3”, 4 sc, dc sts = 1” and 4 rows sc, dc = 1”
PILLOW FRONT:
ROW 1: With Lt Sage and H hook ch-43, dc 4 th ch from hook, dc same ch as beg dc, (sk 2 ch, sc next ch, sk 2 ch, 5 dc next ch) across to last 3 ch, sk 2 ch, sc last ch, join Frosty Green, ch-3, turn, fasten off Lt Sage.
ROW 2: 2 dc 1st st, (sc 3rd dc of 5 dc shell, 5 dc next sc) across working sc top beg ch-3 of previous row, join Lt Sage, ch-3, turn, fasten off Frosty Green.
ROW 3: 2 dc 1st st, (sc 3rd dc of 5 dc shell, 5 dc next sc) across working sc top beg ch-3 of previous row, join Frosty Green, ch-3, turn, fasten off Lt Sage.
ROW 4-26: Rep row 2-3 alternating as established.
RND 27: Rep row 2, at the end of the row do not join next color continue working in Frosty Green, turn so you will now be working across the side of piece, * (5 dc around ch-3 of end row, sk next row, sc in next ch-3, sk next row) across side ending with 5 dc last row; turn so you are now working across the bottom of the foundation row of row 1, (sk 2 ch, sc next ch, sk 2 ch, 5 dc next ch) across ending with sc last ch, * rep bet ** twice, ending with 2 dc same st as beg 2 dc, sl st top beg ch-3, ch-1, turn.
RND 28: Sc same st as ch-1, * 5 dc next sc, sc 3 rd dc of 5 dc shell) 6 times, sk next dc, (5 dc next st, sc next sc, 5 dc next dc, sk next dc, sc next st), rep bet ** 6 times, rep bet (), rep bet** 6 times, rep bet (), rep bet ** 6 times, rep bet (), end with sl st top beg sc, turn.
