MATERIALS:

Size 10 crochet thread in White, Bridal Blue, Black, Lilac, and Red, size 7 crochet hook, needle large enough to take crochet thread, tiny white flowers, craft glue, red fabric paint, 4-1\2” wood skewer, small amount of stuffing, 5 small snaps, needle and invisible (clear) sewing thread.

Gauge: 9 sc = 1", 10 sc rows = 1", 9 dc = 1”, 5 dc rows = 1”.

MARY POPPIN’S NANNY DRESS:

ROW 1: With White thread and size 7 hook ch-40, hdc 3rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, fasten off. (38 sts)

ROW 2: Hdc next 2 sts, (2 hdc next st, hdc next 5 sts) across, ch-1, turn. (44 sts)

ROW 3: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 3 sts) across ch-1, turn. (55 sts)

ROW 4: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.

RND 5: Overlap last 2 sts with 1st 2 sts, hdc through both thickness’, hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (53 sts)

RND 6-26: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. End rnd 26 fasten off.

BODICE:

ROW 1: With White thread and 7 hook join in bottom row 1 of skirt, ch-1, hdc same st as ch-1, hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn. (38 sts)

ROW 2-3: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.

ROW 4: Hdc next 2 sts, (2 hdc next st, hdc next 8 sts) across, ch-1, turn. (42 sts)

ROW 5-6: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.

ROW 7: Hdc next 8 sts, leave remaining sts unworked, ch-1, turn. (8 sts)

ROW 8: Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn. (7 sts)
