MATERIALS:
4 ply Red Heart yarn in White or color of you choice, stuffing, needle to take yarn, small amount of cardboard and H hook or hook to obtain gauge.
GAUGE: 5 hdc sts = 1”, 4 rows hdc = 1”
FINISHED SIZE: Form is 7-1\2” tall without doll
FORM:
ROW 1: With yarn and H hook ch-17, hdc 3 rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (15 sts)
ROW 2: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 4 sts) across, ch-1, turn. (18 sts)
ROW 3: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 5 sts) across, ch-1, turn. (21 sts)
ROW 4: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 6 sts) across, ch-1, turn. (24 sts)
ROW 5: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 3 sts) across, ch-1, turn. (30 sts)
RND 6: Sl st to last st row 5, ch-1, turn, hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 7-22: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. End rnd 22 fasten off.
FORM’S BOTTOM:
With yarn and H hook ch-4, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 10 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. 910 sts)
RND 2: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (15 sts)
RND 3: Hdc next st, (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, fasten off.
Using the bottom as a pattern, cut out one of cardboard trimming to make smaller than actual bottom piece. Sew crochet bottom to bottom of form with needle and matching yarn. Place cardboard in the bottom. Place doll inside the form and fill with stuffing. With needle and yarn weave yarn in last and 1st st row one of base. Remove needle and tie closed.
