RND 6: (2 dc next st, dc next 2 sts) twice, 2 dc next st, dc next 48 {53}[57] sts, (2 dc next st, dc next 2 sts) 10 times, dc next 44 {48}[54] sts, (2 dc next st, dc next 2 sts) twice, 2 dc last st, sl st top beg ch-3, ch-1, turn. (151 sts){161 sts}[171 sts]
RND 7: Sc next 70 {74}[79] sts, hdc next 2 sts, dc next 4, (2 trc next st, trc next 2 sts) 4 times, dc next 2, hdc next 2, sc remaining sts, sl st top beg sc, fasten off. (155 sts){165 sts}[175 sts]
-Make 2. Turn one sole over so you have a left and right sole.
TOE STRAP:
ROW 1: With Blue and O hook ch-5, hdc 3 rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (3 sts)
ROW 2-55: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn. End row 55 fasten off.
-make 6 (3 ea sandal)
BRAIDED TOE STRAP:
ROW 1: With White and O hook ch-5, hdc 3 rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (3 sts)
ROW 2: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 3: Hdc next st, leave remaining sts unworked, ch-1, turn. (1 st)
ROW 4-55: Rep row 2. End row 55 fasten off.
NEXT STRAP:
ROW 1: With white and O hook join in next st free row 2 of strap, ch-1, hdc sa st as beg ch-1, (only st worked), ch-1, turn. (1 st)
ROW 2-53: Hdc only st, ch-1, turn. End row 53 fasten off.
Rep next strap on more time so that there are 3 crochet stripes of 1 st ea. Braid all 3 straps, holding ends tog join White and ch-1, work 1 hdc in end of ea strap across, ch-1, turn. (3 sts)
Next: Hdc ea st across, fasten off.
-make 4 (2 ea sandal)
Lay all 5 (3 blue, 2 white braid) one on top ea other. Tie a knot in the center of the layers. Measure in 2” from center edge of toe on sole and sew ends of one strap to this point on either side. Continue sewing straps one after the other across the side of the sole.
