Hold the flower in place with one hand and bring the needle up through the flower from the wrong side of the hat.
You will want the needle to come up just to the outside of the flower’s center opening.
Insert the needle through the flower at the opposite side of opening and then through the center itself.
Do not pull the thread through. Instead stop at this point and wrap the thread around you needle one time...
