To finish the stitch (FINHDC) or to connect the bottom opening of the same pop tab to make a fastened down row.
At the end of your PTHDC row, ch-1, turn, hdc each stitch across. This allows room for the pop tab to lay flat as well as allowing you to continuing working the pop tabs to the back of your piece.

Work once row of hdc has been worked. Note how all the pop tabs are pointing toward the bottom edge and have the rough or wrong side facing outward. To finish the pop tab stitch you need to flip the pop tabs up so that the remaining opening not worked on the pop tab is now at the top of your piece.

Work a hdc only this time you insert the bottom opening of the pop tab over your hook and then finish the stitch.
