How To Form Separate Legs For Pants and Dolls

In this example we are making shorts for a doll. We have worked several rows of single crochet and are now ready to form our first leg opening.

Chain-8 (or number calls for in your instructions for what you are making), count over from the join (where your ch-8 began) to the center back of your piece. Example: If your piece is 30 stitches than you would count over 15 stitches and then slip stitch that same stitch (15th)

Here the chain has been made and slip stitch into center back edge of piece.
