PUTTING THE FAIRE TOGETHER:
To make the fairies body fold one chenille stem in half and insert fold in wooden head. Bend one side of the stem back up to the head (in half again) and twist together. Rep on other side. Find half way point on other chenille stem, fold ea end to center point. Lay doll on center, wrapping several times and twisting as you did for the legs. Glue head in place. Glue hat on top of head. Place the legs and arms you crochet over twisted stems. With needle and crochet thread sew dress onto doll at shoulders, down ea side and through arms. Lay wing sections tog and sew in place. Sew finished wings to back of fairies.
PUMPKIN CART:
With Pumpkin and 7 hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 12 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)
RND 2-3: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (18 sts)(27 sts)
RND 4-5: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (36 sts)(48 sts)
RND 6: Back Loop hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 7-16: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. End rnd 16 fasten off.
OUTER PUMPKIN:
RND 1: With Pumpkin and 7 hook join and any left over lp from rnd 6 of cart, ch-1, 2 hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (96 sts)
RND 2-15: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. End rnd 15 fasten off.
With needle and crochet thread sew rnd 15 of outer pumpkin to rnd 16 of cart, easing sts as you sew (it is twice the st count as the other) and stuffing it as well. With more crochet thread form sections in the outer pumpkin, pulling tight and knotting off.
AXEL COVER:
With Pumpkin and 7 hook rep rnd 1-4 of cart. Fasten off end rnd 4.
Sew the axle cover to the bottom outside of finished pumpkin leaving an opening at ea side center to insert the axle Insert the axle (dowel), glue one wheel to ea end of dowel.
CAT:
With White and 7 hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 12 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)
RND 2: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (18 sts)
RND 3-5: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 6: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next 4 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (15 sts)
RND 7: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (10 sts)
RND 8: Work 2 hdc in ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (20 sts) Stuff head.
RND 9: Rep rnd 2. (30 sts)
