Large Snowman Head:

With Boucle and H hook rep rnd 1-4 of snowman cup.

Stuff head.

Hat:

RND 1: With Blue and H hook ch-18, sl st to form a ring. Ch-1, work hdc in ea ch around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (18 sts)

RND 2: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next 4) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (15 sts)

RND 3: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next 3) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)

RND 4: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next 2) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (9 sts)

RND 5-6: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. End rnd 6 fasten off. (6 sts)(4 sts)

Finishing Head:

With fabric paint draw on snowman’s eyes and mouth. Dot ea eye with a bit of the gray paint. Let dry. Go back and add blush to the cheeks. Following manufacture’s instructions make a carrot nose out of your bakable clay and bake it. When Cool glue to the face. Sew the collar to the bottom of the head. Sew the hat to the top of the snowman’s head. Twist 2 of the silver stems tog. Fold in half and twist again. Glue this glue around base of hat. Do the same for the top of the hat, twisting and bending tog last stem. Glue one pom-pom to the very top of the hat. Glue finished head on to the lid of the crochet covered paper mache box.

Box Cover:

ROW 1: With Blue & H hook ch-9, hdc 3rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch, ch-1, turn. (7 sts)

Row 2-22: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn. End row 22 fasten off.

With needle and thread sew the short ends tog. Slid over box.

Lid Cover:

With White and H hook ch-4, sl st to form a ring.

RND 1-3: Rep rnd 1-3 of collar.

RND 4: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.

Rnd 5: (Sc next 3 sts, dc next, trc next 2, dc next) 3 times, sc next 3, dc next, trc next, (trc, dc) last st, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (28 sts)

RND 6: (Dc next st, trc next 2, dc next st, sl st next 3 sts) around, sl st top beg dc, fasten off.

Glue cover to lid.
