Patterns Written In US Terms

Materials: 7 oz. Red Heart worsted weight yarn in Deft Blue, 1-2 oz in White, size H crochet hook, needle to take yarn, 6 snaps, sewing needle and sewing thread.
Gauge: 3 hdc =1”, 3 rows hdc =1-1\4”
Finished Size: will fit a 3 month size new born baby doll like a Lee Middleton doll.  Doll is 20” long from head to toes.
Diaper:
ROW 1: With Blue and H hook ch-12, hdc 2nd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn.  (11 sts)
ROW 2-3: 2 hdc 1st st, hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  (12 sts)(13 sts)
ROW 4-5; 2 hdc 1st st, hdc ea st across to last st, 2 hdc last st, ch-1, turn.  (15 sts)(17 sts)
ROW 6: 2 hdc 1st st, (2 hdc next st, hdc next 4 sts) 3 times, 2 hdc last st, ch-1, turn.  (22 sts)
ROW 7-8: 2 hdc 1st 2 sts, hdc ea st across to last 2 sts, 2 hdc last 2 sts, ch-1, turn.  (26 sts)(30 sts)
ROW 9-11: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  End row 11 fasten off.
ROW 12: Working across the bottom of row 1, join 1st st, ch-1, hdc same st as beg ch-1, hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  (11 sts)
ROW 13: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 14-23: Rep rows 2-11.
RND 24: Evenly sc around outer edge of diaper woring (sc, ch-2, sc) in ea corner and row 9 and row 21 to form diapers side tabs, sl st top beg hdc, fasten off. Sew 2 snaps on either side of diaper at tabs.
