Patterns Written in US Terms
 ROW 38: With Sage and F hook join end row 26, ch-1, hdc dec same st as beg ch-1 and next st, hdc next 10 sts, leave remaining sts unworked, ch-1, turn.  (11 sts)
ROW 39-48: Rep row 28-37.  End row 48 fasten off.
ROW 49: With Sage yarn and F hook join in 7th sk st end row 27, ch-1, hdc same st as beg ch-1, hdc next 37 sts, leave remaining sts unworked, ch-1, turn.  (28 sts)
ROW 50: Hdc next 8 sts, (hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next 8 sts) twice, ch-1, turn.  (26 6sts)
ROW 51-55: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 56: Hdc next 3 sts, sl st next 20, hdc last 3 sts, ch-1, turn.  (6 sts)
ROW 57: Hdc next 3 sts, leave remaining sts unworked, ch-1, turn.  (3 sts)
ROW 58-60: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  End row 60 fasten off.
ROW 61: With Sage yarn and F hook join in end row 56, ch-1, hdc same st as beg ch-1, hdc next 2 sts, leave remaining sts unworked, ch-1, turn.  (3 sts)
ROW 62-64: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  End row 64 fasten off.
With needle and yarn sew tog at shoulders.

ARMHOLE EDGING:
With Sage yarn and F hook join in any left over st at bottom edge of armhole, ch-1, evenly sc ea st and row around, sl st top beg sc, fasten off.
-Rep for other armhole.

VEST EDGING:
With Sage and F hook join in any st bottom edge of vest, ch-1, evenly sc ea st and row around, sl st top beg sc, fasten off.
VEST TIES:
With Sage and F hook join around st in one side of vest at row 27, ch-40, fasten off.  Rep on other side of vest.

HAT:
With Marine and F hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 8 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (8 sts)
RND 2-3: 2 hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (16 sts)(32 sts)
RND 4-5: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 3 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (40 sts)(50 sts)
