With White and F hook ch-4, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: ch-1, work (hdc, ch-1) 8 times in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (8 sts)
RND 2-4: * (hdc, ch-1) twice in next sp, hdc next sp, ch-1, * rep bet ** around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)(18 sts)(27 sts)
RND 5: * (hdc, ch-1) twice in next sp, (hdc, ch-1) in next 2 sps, * rep bet ** around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (36 sts)
RND 6-7: (Hdc next sp, ch-1) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. End rnd 7 fasten off.
With needle and yarn sew the 5 doll heart blocks tog to form a line. Sew short ends tog to form a circle. Sew this circle to the bottom of rnd 7.
DOLL’S HAT EDGING:
With white yarn and F hook join in any st bottom of hat, ch-1, sc same st as beg ch-1, evenly work sc around, sl st top beg sc, fasten off.
CHILD’S HAT:
With White and F hook ch-4, sl st to form a ring.
