ROW 3: Sk 1st st, (sc next dc, dc next sc) across to color change, drop white, pick up black, rep bet () to last st, sl st last st, ch-1, turn. (32 sts)
ROW 4-13: Rep row 2-3 alternating. (30 sts)(28 sts)(26 sts)(24 sts)(22 sts)(20 sts)(18 sts)(16 sts)(14 sts)(12 sts)
ROW 14-19: (Sc next st, dc next sc) 3 times, drop old color, pick up new color (as established), rep bet () 3 times, ch-1, turn. At the end of row 19 fasten off both colors.
PURSE BOTTOM:
With black and H hook rep rnd 1-6 of purse, fasten off.
FINISHING:
Cut a piece of cardboard a bit smaller than the purse bottom. With needle and matching yarn, sew bottom to bottom of purse wrong sides tog and inserting cardboard as you st.
With needle and matching yarn lp row 19 of handles through bought handles and sew to wrong side. Rep on other side.
