ROW 2-13: Sc ea st across, ch-1, turn. End row 13 fasten off.
Lay purse flat so across the top edge you have red with a corresponding white section. Fold in at the sides about one inch. Sew this edge only. Sew the flap across the back opening of purse. With needle and thread
sew three snaps to flap and purse.
HANDLE:
ROW 1: With White and H hook ch-3, sc 2nd ch from hook, sc last ch, ch-1, turn. (2 sts)
ROW 2: Sc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
Rep row 2 until you have the length you want. Sew short ends to inside of purse where the fold is sewn.
TASSEL:
Cut a 3” X 4-1\2” piece of cardboard. Holding both strands of yarn tog at the same time wrap around cardboard 25 times. Cut a length of yarn and tie tightly in a knot at the top of the wrapped yarn. Slid off cardboard. Wrap another length of yarn about an inch down from this tie around tassel several times, knot ends. Cut through lps at bottom of tassel. Sew tassel to center bottom of purse.
