ROW 4: (Sc, dc) next 2 sts, ch-1, turn. (4 sts)
ROW 5-7: (Sc next dc, dc next st) twice, ch-1, turn.
ROW 8: (Sc, dc) ea st across, ch-1, turn. (8 sts)
ROW 9-43: (Sc next dc, dc next st) across, ch-1, turn. End row 43 fasten off.
Sew row 43 of both gussets tog. Sew gusset to both purse sides.
INNER GUSSET (MAKE 2):
ROW 1: With Lt Blue and H hook ch-7, sc 2 nd ch from hook, (dc next ch, sc next ch) twice, dc last ch, ch-1, turn. (6 sts)
ROW 2-47: (Sc next dc, dc next sc) across, ch-1, turn. End row 47 fasten off.
Sew one inner gusset to long edge of purse opening and across ea short side. Do the same with the other gusset overlapping across short ends. Sew ea short end tog at the sides. Sew a ring on top of ea short end for strap.
STRIP STRAP (FINISHED SIZE: 2” X 45”):
ROW 1: With navy yarn and H hook ch-151m sc 2 nd ch from hook, (dc next ch, sc next ch) across to last ch, dc last ch, join white, ch-1, turn, fasten off navy. (150 sts)
ROW 2: (Sc next dc, dc next sc) across, join navy, ch-1, turn, fasten off white.
ROW 3: (Sc next dc, dc next sc) across, join white, ch-1, turn, fasten off navy.
ROW 4: Rep row 2.
ROW 5: (Sc next dc, dc next sc) across, fasten off.
Tie end to ea ring or sew both rings to one end for a belt.
NAVY STRAP (FINISHED SIZE: 1-3\4” X 49”:
ROW 1: With navy yarn and H hook ch-181, hdc 2 nd ch from hook, hdc next 24 ch, (ch-10, sk 10 ch, hdc next 10 ch) 7 times, ch-10, sk next 10 ch, hdc last 25 ch, ch-1, turn.
ROW 2-4: Hdc ea hdc, ch-10, sk previous rows ch-10 across, ch-1, turn. End row 4 fasten off.
