Rnd 6: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
Rnd 7: Bk lp hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
Rnd 8-28: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  End rnd 28 fasten off.

Lace:
Row 1: With size 10 crochet thread and E hook ch-74, sc 2nd ch from hook, sc ea ch across, turn.  (73 sts)
Row 2: Ch-4 (1st dc + ch-1) throughout, dc same st as beg ch-4, * sk next 2 sts, (dc, ch-1, dc) next st * rep bet ** across, turn.
Row 3-180: Ch-1, sl st to next ch-1 sp, ch-4, dc same st, (dc, ch-1, dc) in ea ch-1 sp across, turn.  End row 180 fasten off.

Putting The Purse Together:
Either hand sew or sew with a sewing machine the zipper to the purse leaving about 1” free at ea end. Place ends of chain down these openings and sew about 3 chains ea end to wrong side. With needle and yarn sew end closed to zipper.   With needle and crochet thread sew short ends of lace tog to form a large lp. Measure down 2” from ea end and run a line of basting sts at this point. Gather to fit over purse.  You will want to evenly distribute the gathers over front and back of purse and sew in place.  Cut two lengths of ribbon to fit around purse + 2”.  Fold under 1” at one end on ea length of ribbon.  Sew around top and bottom of purse.  Cut two 16” length of ribbon and tie into bows, trim ends and sew to purse front.
