Pumpkin Man Rattle Free Crochet Pattern
MATERIALS:
Small amount of 4 ply yarns in the following colors: Pumpkin, Black and Green, H crochet hook or hook needed to obtain gauge, needle to take yarn, small amount of black felt, craft glue or needle and thread, an empty 1” X 2” (approximate) tic tack breath mint container, couple of beads (for the rattle) and small amount of stuffing.
FINISHED SIZE: 9” tall
Gauge: 3 hdc = 1”, 3 rows hdc = 1-1\2”
PUMPKIN HEAD:
With Pumpkin yarn and H hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 12 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)
RND 2-3: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (18 sts)(27 sts)
RND 4: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (36 sts)
RND 5-6: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. End rnd 6 fasten off.
HEAD BACK:
With Pumpkin yarn and H hook rep rnd 1-4 of head. Fasten off end rnd 4.
Place a couple of beads into the empty tic tack container, close its lid. Place in the center of the head and add enough stuffing to fill in around the box. With needle and yarn sew back to head.
LEG (MAKE 2):
With Black yarn and H hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 12 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)
RND 2-9: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
Lightly stuff leg.
RND 10: (Hdc dec next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, fasten off. (6 sts)
ARM (MAKE 2):
With Black yarn and H hook rep rnd 1-5 of leg.
